Gayle Tufts

She is the most well-known American woman in Germany and an institution: Gayle Tufts. The entertainer and author has lived in Berlin for more than 25 years. During that time she has been able to glide her sharp gaze over the Germans and also over her fellow countrymen. Clever, witty and feminine, she has straightened out a fair few prejudices and contributed to German-American understanding.

In her latest show, she summons up all her superpowers with a lot of music, dance and comedy to spread "the Power of Showbiz". Enthusiastic, down-to-earth, self-deprecating and loveable, she combines all the power of her great female role models. She leads the ultimate struggle against the longing for simple answers. She celebrates the heroines of everyday life and does not give up the hope of being able to fly one day. She explains the intoxicating effect of superfood and lends us her support in times of incomprehensible elections. She explains the politics of dancing with masterful puns in at least two languages and even wonders whether to change her name for political reasons.

Gayle Tufts gives us a deep insight into the glittering world of an adult woman: magic underwear, kale smoothies and physical exertion until the last breath.

Music and original songs: Marian Lux
Dance: The Superhelden Dance Crew
