All of me – Lebenslieder
On the piano: Terry Truck
30 years ...! What a long time for people (many trees are still children after time ...) 30 years in the Theater ... with triumphs and misfires, intoxication and hangovers, peaks of love and valleys of despair, creative highs and artistic ebbs. But then melodies, songs that feel like elixirs of life, flowing through time and space regardless of what is at the moment, enveloping being and not being in timelessness, creating access to the soul, opening the gates to laughter and crying, releasing the gaze and feeling to the core: love.
"The language of music has always been for me the greatest thing we humans have," says Georgette Dee, "music can rise above all boundaries, can penetrate everything that seems impenetrable, can create an understanding where before there was a lack of understanding - of myself, of others. Music gives me the opportunity to become happy or sad, to look at the bad and the good, to catch my breath in the fullness or the emptiness - that's what has always connected me and Terry Truck, the magic of music."
Look forward to a classic Dee Truck evening, full of songs and stories that want to celebrate life as it is - of how it "should" be is another song.
