Art needs freedom! Through our diverse programs, we not only showcase artistic excellence but also affirm our commitment to fundamental democratic values. We see it as our duty to draw attention to societal developments beyond the arts world.
Active Engagement: Taking a Stand for Democracy
We go beyond the stage and take an active stance on current political issues. It is no longer enough to merely oppose all forms of extremism — we openly resist any tendencies that undermine democracy. We proudly raise our flag and make our convictions clear!

Every program reflects our love for diversity. Colorful, diverse, democratic — this is our DNA. We love not only the theatre but also the values it represents. Together with our diverse artists and ensembles, we create programs aligned with our core beliefs and principles. Diversity is our guiding principle.

For an open-minded Germany
Eyes open — ears open — voice open. Showing your face can happen every day, everywhere. This is us — a team, an association. We stand and work for respect and tolerance. Against racism, anti-Semitism, and right-wing violence. We give our topics many faces: campaigns, training sessions, events, workshops. We are active in public spaces as well as at the grassroots. We live democracy and work to strengthen civil society — current, political, interactive.

We are a broad network against right-wing extremism and racism, with strong partners and support. “Berlin Against Nazis” serves as an information hub, mobilization network, and service point for all Berlin residents. Become a partner and take a stand against racism, homophobia, and anti-Semitism. Show that we are many!
DIE VIELEN e.V. promotes an open, solidaristic, diverse, and democratic society. The association serves as an initiator for over 4,500 member institutions and active participants in the arts and culture. Together, they organize demonstrations, rallies, and artistic happenings, meet regularly to discuss current societal developments, and critically work on transforming their own structures.
